Maniac Horror Film Review Starring Kid Cudi & Cage (Dir. Shia LaBeouf)

The Maniac Horror Film starring Kid Cudi and Cage Directed by Shia LaBeouf was highly anticipated. It was dropped on yesterday, Halloween, seeming a rather appropiate release due to this film’s violent nature. Shia LaBeouf also directed the visuals for Kid Cudi’s “Marijauna”, which featured Cudi, Labeouf and others in Amsterdam’s Red Light District. The film shot in a documentary style, follows two sadistic killers (Kid Cudi and Cage) as they go on a murder spree on camera. Some failed to find an underlying theme in this film but my interpretation was of how the two feel they must put on a show for the public eye .” The guilty one isn’t who commits the sin, but who causes it” says Cage during the opening of the film. Cudi constantly makes references about the lousy diner they eat in,  Cage basically tells him to quit complaining and make the best of what they have. This could possibly be a metaphor for the life of fame they live, and how things are not always as great as they seem. Instead of complaining they must endure the pain and bs that they experience. Their anger  and frustration towards all of this materialized during the film ends with the two turning on the camera team. But this is just my perception, be sure to watch the video below and tell us your opinion in the comments.
