peace, first off we would just like to thank you for the opportunity to accomplish such thing, can you please introduce yourself to our viewers.

Greetings. I go by Low leaf. A pleasure to connect.

would you consider your sound to be a reflection of where you are from?

The sound is always changing. Perhaps that’s the sound itself. But as far as it being a reflection of where I’m from, I’d say it’s a partial reflection. Being a lil Filipino girl raised in a generation that was subjected to Los Angeles’ suburban pop culture, while looking to my cosmic heritage for purpose as I grew into my true nature (gasp) is definitely in that equation…

what are your musical influences?

I can never judge what my influences are. But I’m constantly inspired by the stars, trees, the Philippines, and a general feeling of endless Gratitude for being Alive.

growing up, was music a big part of your life?

Yes. It has always been my first love, muse, and passion.

the uniqueness of being an artist playing a harp especially in our generation speaks volumes, what was your first experience with the harp like?

When I first met my harp, I was told it was made of an African wood called ‘Bubinga’. I didn’t understand the complete significance back then, but I was happy that my harp was an earth-like shade of brown … It was like me !

what type of impact & influence do you wants your music to have on others?

I could only hope to spread pure love and consciousness through my art. Stir souls up. Be a part of this planet’s beautiful ascension process.

your ability to multi-task between the harp, the keyboard, the drum machine & still carry a note all at the same time is amazing, tell us more on how you control that.

It kinda feels like finding a new point of balance in your body and letting each body part do its own thing. It’s almost as if I’m doing nothing at all, or rather, It feels like I’m not in my body when I’m doing it right

how was the show was in the Philippines & what did it mean for you to do a show for the people of your ethnic background?

It was an honor to play at The Spoken Herb Festival amongst such a diverse collection of musicians. I had mused returning to the Motherland for the past 4 years.. it was a longing feeling, almost as if I had to spiritually earn my ticket back home.. I felt like that show was my Debut in a sense.. Because for the first time I was so completely fearless, egoless, and free, that every person I crossed paths with, I could see myself in. It was truly a synchronistic and cosmic chain of events, and I haven’t been the same since.

what are some of your hobbies outside of music, artwork etc?

I love being alone. I meditate, read, draw, practice yoga, listen to the leaves…. and Eat them… .

what artists do you wish to work with in the future

Bjork …

what is the importance of singing with compassionate & sincere energy?

That which is alive gives out a sound that is alive.

what is the creation scene like behind the lyrics & what it creates in the listener? when you are writing,  what experience do you want thee receiver to feel while listening?

When I am writing, I am the vessel, the creator, as well as the receiver. The reward is not in the results, but in the act of doing.

where did the name for your project (GiGA GAiA) originate from? what was the thought process like when coming up with the name?

GiGA GAiA was a place I mused I my head where organics and machines could blend together in this unifying sound. It was a place I was working towards to combine my classical instrumental roots with my self-taught beat production … They both felt like different sides of me, yet they were both Of me, so they Had to be One.

the first thing to look into is the cover of this project, which has a hieroglyphics-like look to it. I feel as though it has its own story to it and if you would be willing to share the meaning behind it and the steps that were taken to create it that would be lovely.

Every art form is a type of channeling. I draw because I enjoy having no expectations of the outcome.. I drew those symbols when I was under some sort of trance one day. I wasn’t thinking, I was just letting my hand go. I thought that particular energy needed to be on the cover of that project because that’s what GiGA GAiA ended up being about.. Just letting go of who I was at the time, and not being attached to form.

As stated in your disclaimer for this project, this project strayed (far) from your original concept of it. What was your original intention for it? And what do you feel made it go off of its original course?

The intention was to find that unifying sound, which those tracks did not translate. I think what made it go off course is the nature of not being able to control everything. Plus, I wanted to release my early tracks that were made a time before I began to incorporate spiritual intentions into my music.

What about these 10 specific tracks made you choose them to be on the project, amongst the myriad of other potential songs that spawned during the time it was being constructed?

I chose 10 songs that fit within this playful spectrum of careless beats where I could let my voice change depending on the track. To me, each song is about forgetting what I wanted to sound like. It wasn’t the music I wanted to make, it was just the music I had to make at the time.

This project itself is no longer a representation of you or your voice but rather one of a past you. Would you be willing to speak on what your feelings were towards this project during its conception?

As I said earlier, I was trying to find the unifying sound.

Your approach to this project is admirable. It just “is”. You didn’t really give it any connotations but instead let it be what it is and let the others decide for themselves, but do you feel your “defining work” is at all near?

It’s closer than it’s ever been. You gotta just stay tuned in wit me!

your music is a blessing, will you be blessing us with anything nu soon? we understand you just recently released a EP, but are you working on anything as of now?

Thank you. I’m working on an acoustic harp/piano/guitar EP.. I’ve been returning to my singer-songwriter compositions and I’m super excited to share that when it’s ready! I’m also working on an experimental project with a musician and rapper who goes by Zeroh. His abilities are ridiculously off the grid, and he is creating from the Right place, so I’m looking forward to sharing those songs when it is time to. Also, My friend CAT 500 and I started a collective called Music Prism.. It’s where high frequencies, science, space travel, spirituality, and progressive creativity comes together for a more advanced and conscious society through various art forms, rituals, and sound experiments.. We are in the process of putting together events and weird gatherings, as well as putting out music, but in the meantime, if you want to get a peak of its essence, it’s located at: 12955 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA.. If you take a look inside, you’ll notice that it’s looking back at you.

any last words?

World Peace Begins Within.
