Could you introduce yourself to everyone?

My name is Mill and I own Guns & Crayons

Who are the Members of your team?

How did you guys start designing?

I used to have a friend who’s sister went to art school. Me and him used to trap and while she was at work she would leave her laptop with Photoshop on it. To past the time I would use it that’s when I first started messing with it and ended up getting good at it. I got so good at it people started paying for little shit. I always loved art though no matter what it was.

How long have you guys been around?

Officially since Jan 1st 2010.

Where are you from?

Originally born in Texas but grown and raised in Phoenix, Arizona.

How would you describe your area’s fashion scene?

There is none. And the people who think they know something are just dick riders even the people who own brands out here. I know about all the high end designers from people like Givenchy or Bernhard Willhelm down to brands like Mastermind or Bounty Hunter. 

How has that impacted your brand’s style?

It has made the brand exactly what I wanted it to be. We haven’t even really got started yet, when people start seeing the brands full range its going to fuck with a lot of peoples heads.

Guns and Crayons is a unique name is there a meaning behind it?

Guns = stick up Crayons = kids its code for stick up kids. Everything we do has a deeper meaning. We like to show people how stupid and gullible they are by them thinking the brand is going to be one thing and it turning out to be something completely different. It still goes over peoples heads. 

How would you describe your brand?

Not a brand for hypebeast ass kids who now wear dark emo brands and think their fashion gurus . For people who actually understand shit and don’t follow the hype. We like doing things that have been over done but killing it with the execution. 

How did you come up with the Concept for your brand?

Real Life

How is Guns and Crayons different from other brands?

That we don’t care about shit or what people think. If I want tomorrow I’ll release a shirt with someones full name who I don’t like and it will sell out. 

 

 

What was the most difficult obstacle you faced, in establishing your brand?

 

None really everything was pretty easy to be honest. I never really wanted to have a brand shit just happened out the blue. I didn’t have to act like no ones bitch or ask for any favors, shit just happened. 

 

What is the most rewarding aspect of running your brand?

 

Shitting on people who didn’t believe. That in itself is better than all the money I have made and I have made a lot. 

 

Who are some of the people that have shown love to your brand?

 

Too many to name but we love the regular people who show love that work a 9 to 5. Those are people I care about why else would I make a shirt with the Chanel logo and write under it Rob The Rich?

 

 

What brands and designers do you look up to?

Nigo from BAPE and Eric from FUCT even though…. nevermind anyone who knows about fashion knows that me stating those people might be a contradiction but only people who REALLY know about shit will know that.

 

What does streetwear mean to you?

 

Fuck streetwear it don’t mean shit to me bunch of grown ass men in their 30’s acting like little kids. The real streetwear isn’t even streetwear a bunch of these streetwear owners are rich kids whos mommy and daddy gave them money to start a brand or went to college how the fuck is that street? Yet that’s the part the regular consumer dosen’t see. So fuck streetwear. 

 

Do you have any words of inspiration for the young aspiring designers out there?
