Interview with Max B. of LALIFEREHAB .

First off, introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about your blog.
-Well my name is Maxmillion and I am currently at the age of 16 pursuing an high school education at the moment. My blog is more than just a site that spreads word threw Music, Threads, Interviews etc. Inspiring someone to get out there and give life a chance at something that fits them and their personality is convenient to what our message and goal is. I am only 16 but have already done a lot in ways that I honestly never pictured before.
Where are you currently located ?
-I am currently located in Inglewood, CA but do a lot of running around in Los Angeles. Being that a lot of the things I do represent Los Angeles, that helped me to add LA in LALIFEREHAB.
How many people are currently on the LALR team and how long have they been on it ?
-I am currently only have one member on my squad which is Marshall Hawthorne who is currently at the age of 18 and will be pursuing a college education in the Fall. He has been on my website for almost a year now, which is how long LALR has been around pretty much.
What is the meaning behind the name “Los Angeles Life Rehab” ?
-The meaning behind Los Angeles Life Rehab is a very interesting and odd meaning one would say. The origin behind this very different but unique name is basically to drive people to start off fresh in a way. Earlier I noted that Inspiring people to get out there and do something positive and thats where Life-Rehab go hand and hand. Obviously we are an LA County based website and that is where that part came into play.
As a blogger, how do you feel about the upcoming artist, fashion designers and photographers ? do you feel as if most of them are doing it because it seems “cool” or because they have a passion for it ? because we know you have to deal with music and fashion all the time because you run a blog ?

-That is correct. I personally believe that a lot of these Clothing Brands, Artist, Photographers etc. are doing what they do to either get known or be classified as “COOL.” Everyone isn’t made out to be a web-designer or a recording artist. For us people who take our lives and turn it into something more than just a line or a rap it does indeed make it harder for us, but at the same time it makes it easier on us. I say and believe that because most of the time a person is able to recognize real over fake any day. So thats a small portion of what I think of a lot of these up and coming movements we have going on in society.
How long have you been blogging ?

-Growing up always checking Hypebeast and Highsnobiety always made me thrilled to be on my computer. Around the age of 11 I wanted to run my own website and potentially my own clothing line as well. It wasn’t until the age of 14 when I physically took my hands and said, “THIS IS WHAT I WAS MEANT TO DO.” From that point on I started blogger. Going through about 3 different blogs before I finally came to a stop with LALR, I think learning all I did and going through those changes helped me out a lot.

Are you going to continue blogging after you graduate  or do you have something else planned to do after you finish highschool ?

-Honestly in this industry, ALL WILL ‘NOT’ CONCUR. What I mean by that is that only a selective few will make the dreams that I have and bring them into reality. Do I believe I can concur? I most definitely do, but I will continue to keep my options open and I do have a plan if this site doesn’t work out as planned. I hope to major in Law and become ether a Sports Attorney or Sports Agent.
Your blog’s browser was recently changed, do you think it was for the better or the worst ?

-No doubt in my head for the better. Today, Friday 13, 2011 is week that I have been blogging threw this new website and already have seen growth and even the growth within my supporters and people that shed light on me. Its unfortunate but definitely for the best.
How did you take that whole situation? because as we all know your other site was amazing and you have valuable posts and your views were great.

-You know what? Thats all in the past now and this in in the present. Of course I took that situation to be heart-breaking to see all of my hard work be erased like it was. But hey I have no complaints and only an open mind. Siked for my future!

What would you like to tell all of your supporters ? And do you have anything big planned for your site that we should all be on the look out for ?

-To all my supporters and new supporters I THANK YOU! Nothing that I do with this website would not happen without you guys. I feel that not many people who do great things give respect where respect is due. For me and my site, ITS ALL DUE TO THE SUPPORTERS, EVERYTHING! Also we are having a couple of great projects this summer so be ready for that. One thing I will give a small notice on is that we are sponsoring a lot of events and artist etc. Also a magazine will be doing an article on us every week so stay tuned, we have a lot in-stored for you guys.
What type of people do you surround yourself with ?

-The type of people I surround myself with is a much older and mature crowd. To enhance the way I speak and express myself comes from me reading up on things a little bit more now and just listening, learning, and paying attention to my surroundings.
What motivates you to keep on going and doing all of these positive things ?

-Life and Experiences motivate me to continue to do the things I do. Life is very short and I want to definitely leave a GREAT mark on it.
Any last words ? Shout-outs ? or anything ?

-Thanks everyone who believed in me especially Josh who is the Owner of Random Stars which is a LA based clothing brand I work for. Of course the lovely woman that gave birth to me and my brothers, Marshall, Shamar, Chris, and the list goes on.
