MOCA TEEN NIGHT 2011

“Street art is ubiquitous, popping up on exposed surfaces worldwide in a multitude of forms, including graffiti, murals, performance, sound installations, and sculpture. A contemporary voice of the people, street art reflects cultural and sociopolitical climates across the globe. Teen Night 2011, an event inspired by MOCA’s exhibition Art in the Streets, is designed by the teens of the MOCA Apprenticeship Program to introduce and expose other teens to the various forms of street art. With the MOCA galleries as a backdrop, Teen Night participants will explore the positive impact of street art on culture and learn about how it has evolved into what it is today.
Teen Night includes:
-Student art exhibition
-Spotlight Gallery Tours of Art in the Streets
-Live entertainment
-Art making activities led by MOCA Apprentices
-Giveaways, refreshments, and more.
