We’re OverDoz. Cream, Tube, Kent, and Sleezy. We have a lot of nicknames but those are our most popular ones

• Where did the name Overdoz originate?

The name OverDoz. came from a metaphor of how people responded to our friendship! They always talk about us, want to be around us, and once we started doing music they always listened to us. Kind of like they were Overdosing

• How did each member of the group come together?

Cream, tube and Kent all met between the ages of 5-8. We all played sports against each other in the little leagues and knwe of brett but didnt hang with him yet or know he could rap. Kent use to be a solo artist just doin hooks on his friends that rapped songs then in 2007 he met Sleezy in the studio and they formed OverDoz. after doing a song called Robot Lover (Bowties and Rosaries Mixtape). Towards the middle of 2008 Tube moved back to LA from Arizona after going to ASU and joined the group. A couple months later Cream started doing stand up comedy and naturally we asked him to join the group too

• You guys seem pretty close; did the bond between you guys come naturally?

We’re family. Our personalities fit perfect everyone balances out the next.

• Do you guys do a lot of traveling doing shows, interviews, and such? If so which city shows you the most love?

We’ve traveled a few places and we really love them all. Its just crazy seeing people from other cities singing the words to our songs. We really appreciate all the love!!

• Before a show/performance what do you do to prep?

Smoke just us four no one else and repeat our lyrics so we wont forget!

• How do you think people see you guys as artist and a group? How would you like to be seen?

We dont really know how they view us yet,  but we just want to show people ho w to be themselves and trust in their friends. We show love to everyone and believe that it will all come back to us

• Do you have any big goals for 2011? What should your fans be looking forward to this year?

We always have goals! The biggest is to travel more to see our fans from all over. this year we are dropping our third project “Live for, Die for.” Along with s string of videos and crazy photos. We have been planning alot up to this moment and cant wait to show our fans and people who have never heard of us what we are capable of now that we have been at it for almost 4 yrs.

• What artist has influenced you the most?

There are alot to be honest if we had to narrow it down Parliment Funkadelic, The Dogg Pound, and Outkast

• If you couldn’t make music what would you be doing?

Learning how to make music!

• I’m friends with a few rappers/artist around my age making beats and mix tapes, trying to do big things for 2011; do you have any advice or tips for them?

Dont lie or care about what people have to say about your art!

• STYLE! Like you I know we have that LA swag/ West Coast influences, what are some of your favorite stores?

Well we all have different styles Tubbe likes to shop at a lot of vintage stores. Cream likes Diamond and Deadline. Kent wears Vans and a plain shirt. And Sleezy rocks Undefeated or Supreme. We definately blend everything in from time to time.
