Where are you from ? And Has it Influenced you or made you the person you are today ?

Im from the Bay Area, California. I was born in San Francisco,Ca & lived in all over there. I moved to Oakland,Ca when I was 10 years old. Growing up in the Bay has definitely made me a very cultured person. I was raised around a lot of street art & acceptance of what I wanted to do as a kid. I’ve seen every kind of class of living in my life but, I grew up in bad areas just doing my thang.

What are your influences?

I always have a hard time answering this question because, I really just started doing art on my own. I can say my style has been influenced by my past experiences & alot of japanese culture. My rap style has def. been influenced by listening to experimental rap at a early age. I bought my first Kool Keith CD in the 4th grade.

What made you come up with the name “Kreayshawn” was it a nickname or what ?

Well, I’ve always been obsessed with coming up with names & new brands for myself. This isn’t the first time I’ve been internet famous but, when I was 16 everyone called me ‘Payasita’ & I made it my myspace name and everyone was so in love with me. I’d like goto places and people would just recognize me off myspace LOL! BUT! KREAYSHAWN came from when I used to call myself Kreayshionaya witch is like Cre-ation.. like creation-kreay-ay-shawn. Get it? I of course called myself that because, I’m creative with a K!

Whats the process your mind goes through when envisioning how you want your video and or photo to be taken, recored , or edited ?

Well when Im on set it’s usually me filming & directing at the same time. So, as I’m doing that I am thinking of how I wanna cut and edit it. It gets really stressful & I can’t direct that well. But, when I am at home plotting I usually think of interesting lighting concepts & exotic angles & locations.

When did you start all of this ? and before you started did you ever think you would become this big ?

I mean, I wish it was bigger because, other then having twitter followers I haven’t had a real significant moment of feeling like a break-thru. I did my first music video about a year ago. I didn’t think at all that it was something that I would never ever stop doing once I picked it up. But, I am real happy that I found my calling early in life!

As an artist and director , do you have any favorite music artists ? And if so, Why ?

Oh yes, I have alot of music I love. I am a musical genius. Of course I love my bay area artists like my own sister V-Nasty who just was released out of Alameda County Jail. I am not shy to any D.B the General song + Young Hawaii Slim bringing in that Chill Black Guy movement. I’ve been on that ODDFUTURE as well. One artist I can’t get enough of is ‘SpaceGhostPurp’ you can look up his stuff it’s for musical geniuses.

What do you do on a regular basis? Like for fun, for instance take photos, knit .

Man on the regular you can find me in my room puffin’ that magic dragon. I love going out to eat and just laying back. My job (well whatever I do) has me do alot of creative stuff and it sometimes drains me or if I’m not inspired it can take forever to finish a project. So, I spend alot of time watching movies on Netflix and pettin my kittys.

Do you have anything big planned for 2011 ? If so tell us a little bit about it .

Man! I got my album coming out which is gonna take the world over. I’m managing my sister V-Nasty and helping her get herself out there. I’m moving to Los Angeles in a week as well! Im turning down deals and I’m catching bitches up with powder cash!
