Shanell Aasimah : Whats your name and where are you from ?

Krys shun : i go by the name of Krys-Shun and I’m from what we all know as the
city of dreams, Los Angeles.

Shanell Aasimah : What are some of your future goals as an artist? anything major you
have planned ?

Krys shun : I’ve written down a long list of goals but the biggest one of them all
is, basically get this whole ChillMOB LA$OM movement known all over LA
then spread to other cities around the US. We got the talent just need
the hype machine, everything else would just fall into play after that
lol.

Shanell Aasimah : Who inspires you ? like who do you look up to as influences ?

Krys shun : umm wow back when i was even making beats i remember Pharrell Williams
inspired me to even start making music or at least attempting then. i
was in 10th grade with nothing but N.E.R.D and other productions of
his. I listen to so many genres of music but Kanye West has influenced
me on the production and the whole grind. i cant even lie i have alwas
looked up t him especially the stuff he was doing back 03-07. And The
Smashing Pumpkins has a large influence on my music as well. 1979 is
the story to my life lol! Other influences are Lupe, Biggie, Pac, Jay
Z, Little Brother, and Tricky Stewart.

Shanell Aasimah : Other than rapping, what else do you do ? or play ?

Krys shun : As mentioned, i am also a producer second. i say second only because
im normally the only one who does songs to my beats. i am quite
skilled with the piano but i am no Stevie Wonder.

Shanell Aasimah : What made you want to start rapping ? was it something you had thought
about doing when you were younger ? or did it all just come to you?

Krys shun : i started rapping back in high school. it was like a way to get my
personal things off my chest. i felt like music was always there for
me when couldn’t tell friends or a girlfriend about how i feel, ya
know.

Shanell Aasimah : Who are you currently working with ? Any mixtapes or albums coming out
soon ? If so tell us a little bit about it

Krys shun : Well taking a break on the production for a track or too off the tape.
i got a couple tracks produced by Tyler, the Creater from everybody
knows Odd Future. Thats probably the most noticable collab really.
Thats the homie from high school so thats really how that even
happened.

I’m working on the Most Hated tape right now which is almost done.
Just a lil project before the movement takes off. Its going to
definatly be my realest tape just because anybody can relate to it and
the topics are pretty deep. Theres a song for everybody on there. Even
the ladies lol. Most Hated is just an introduction to the people of
what we can do and where we can go.
