Interview with BeatBoy Branden.

A few question from Branden about himself and things he has planned for the future… read & comment 🙂

When did you begin making beats?

I started to make beats at 12 but I sucked and didn’t get good to until I was almost 15 so I’ll say 14 in a half. From 15 till now I’ve been on a roll.

Who inspired you to make beats?

Actually my neighbor Tym that lived across the street from me, also I had learned to DJ at an early age by my uncle and I just wanted to know how the beats were actually created so I picked up drumming, but that still wasn’t enough I wanted to make and to have my own sound.

Who have you made beats for thusfar?

I’ve made beats for “Hodgy Beats, Earl Sweatshirt, Tallent Azor, Skeme the Duke, Mogz, Prozpect, LaVish, Vince Staples, Mike Almighty”. Many more projects are on the way just had to take a break getting all of my stuff legalized and everything, starting to do more projects with signed artist and stuff like that.
Is this something you want to make a career out of?

Actually I’m not even going to speak soon but you can say it’s my career right now.

Do you think you have an impact on others, do you consider yourself inspiration for other people?

That is a real tough question. I hope so, I usually get a lot of feedback from older cats that has been in the music game for a very long time and they admire the fact that I have such an ambition and drive at a very young age. Wait actually this girl I had met really loved the song I produced for “Mike Almighty” and said she was on a hiatus from producing until she heard that song and I inspired her to do more music.
What motivates you to keep going in life?

Well number one is actually my mother, she had me at a very young age so that means she has been working for most of her live time and I want to pay her back and make sure she will never have to work again. As cheesy as it may sound my girlfriend really keeps me pushing as well, my family at “Da Trap” so Syd The Kid, Vince, TNT, Patrick, O.F, my close friends who has been down with me when I sucked, my fans (I still can’t believe I have fans) and God for giving me this talent.

Anyone you would like to shoutout or support?

Shout outs to any and everyone that has held me down and has supported me, I’m being very general because there is just that much people who been down with me throughout this growth in my music.

Thanks Branden for your time and giving RC the info.
